PTFE fabrics
In membrane construction, PTFE-coated glass-fiber fabrics are often referred to as PTFE fabrics. This is misleading because the amount of the PTFE coating is low compared to the brittle glass fiber content. When it is used in its proper sense, the term PTFE fabric is only applicable to a fabric in which the warp and weft threads are 100% PTFE or e-PTFE. The term PTFE fabric is also justified if the fabric is additionally coated with a 100% fluoropolymer (having PTFE content).
