Fabric circuit board


These fabric types combine the flexible shape of fabrics and the functional flexibility of electronics.
This technology is still under development. The fabric serves as a circuit board for mounting components.

Fabric Circuit Board

This fabric is a hybrid woven fabrics consisting of PET and insulated copper monofilaments in warp and weft. It is light and highly air permeable.

The electrical components as well as the wiring structure are selected and designed by customer-specific needs. We see applications in:

Automotive industry

Architecture (interior/exterior)

Signaling


Properties of fabric circuit boad

Wire pitch: 1.0 mm and 1.27 mm (+/- 10 µm)

Resistance per wire: approx. 10 Ω/m

Electrically insulated

Light weight (< 90 g/m2, plain fabric)

High air permeability (> 8000 l/m2/s)

Highly flexible


The fabric circuit board used as the basis of an illumination product can be applied in combination with SEFAR Architecture frames.
